National Values and Leadership Course

To enhance leadership competencies and instill core national values in Nigerian leaders, the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Tomruk iHub Multiverse, and  Dakrisbenic Foundation for unity and Development in Africa (DAFUDA) have partnered to organize the National Values and Leadership Course. This transformative training program will take place from March 12–14, 2025, at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.

Building Ethical and Effective Leadership

The course is designed to equip leaders with essential skills and ethical principles necessary for fostering effective governance, social cohesion, and national development. Grounded in the National Values Charter, the program will highlight The Nigerian Promise, the social contract outlining the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s national ideals in governance and sovereignty. The seven core promises include:

  1. Equality
  2. Democracy
  3. Entrepreneurship
  4. Peace
  5. Inclusivity
  6. Freedom
  7. Meritocracy

Additionally, the course will emphasize a seven-point code of conduct that defines the Nigerian identity, fostering a mindset rooted in:

  • Discipline
  • Duty of Care
  • Tolerance
  • Leadership
  • Accountability
  • Environmental Awareness
  • Resilience

A Comprehensive Leadership Training Experience

Participants will engage in interactive sessions and hands-on learning that cover:

  • Emotional intelligence and conflict resolution – Essential skills for fostering harmony and strategic decision-making.
  • Transparency and accountability – Ensuring ethical governance and public trust.
  • Inclusive decision-making – Encouraging diverse perspectives in leadership.
  • Action learning projects and workshops – Practical applications to reinforce leadership effectiveness.
